# okrun > Don't package. Don't deploy. Just build. Start building in a live environment. A public HTTPS URL is one command away. Keep improving it in place. Give your experiment a public HTTPS URL without moving it to another environment. okrun is the quickest way to make an experiment public. Live environments are persistent Debian 13 VMs for humans and coding agents. Use ok to create and manage live environments. ## Documentation - [okrun overview and workflow](https://okrun.ai/): HTML with commands, persistence, network isolation, and current limits. ## Agent interface Use ok --help for discovery and ok --hidden --help for SSH and service helpers. Commands return JSON by default. Use --human or non-empty HUMAN for human-readable output. Commands act immediately. Use --dry-run to preview state changes. ok exec runs immediately and returns stdout, stderr, and exit_code in JSON. Use ok exec NAME -- COMMAND for guest commands. Run ok service commands inside the guest. Run ok expose NAME --port PORT from the host to receive a public HTTPS URL automatically. Use --hostname for a custom domain. Use --cache on ok expose to enable Varnish caching for that route. Keep platform and Cloudflare credentials outside workload VMs. ## Persistence and recovery Your environment keeps your code, dependencies, and data between sessions. A stop preserves its files and installed dependencies. Checkpoints preserve a running environment for recovery. Backups keep a copy outside its host. ## Availability okrun currently serves its creator and his agents. Hosted accounts are not available for public signup. This website has no public provisioning API or installer. Cross-host movement and hardware compatibility remain unverified. This static site runs in the okrun VM okrun-2026-10-18 with route caching.
